Cafe List

Ever since the advent of the penny farthing cycling and cafes have been easy bedfellows . Cyclists need food when they are out riding and a culture has grown up of groups of cyclists frequenting bike friendly cafes. The number of rural cafes is sadly decreasing these days leaving riders with less places to visit for their eleven o'clock indulgances. Here at Addiscombe we understand the value of agreeable tea and cake so we aim to provide the definitive list of cafes in the South East of England. If you know of a cafe that is cycle friendly then please let us know about it and share it with other riders so we can all enjoy it

Email us your favourite and share it with other cyclists. The more we visit these places the more likely they are to stay open for us.

Update: Steve Airey tells us that there is a well maintained comprehenive list at http://www.westkentctc.org.uk/ctc/cafelist.html

Try this one for the list (known to be used by CTC).
Garden Centre, Trotton. Between Petersfield and Midhurst on A272, about 4 miles west of Midhurst.
Decent food and prices not bad. Tough if you get hay fever though!

Thanks Colin, we will give it a try
