Chris Colford Enters Addiscombe Photo Competition

One of the many trophies Addiscombe award at its annual prize giving is the Photographic Cup which is presented to the club member who takes the best cycling related picture of the year. Seeing as the club has in its ranks a certain Phil O'Connor, cyclesport photographer extraordinaire, the quality of photos entered for the competition is always exceedingly high.

Below is the first contribution of the year from new member Chris Colford. Entitled 'A Study of Time Trialing and Paul Tunnell' he has set a very high standard for other club members to try to match throughout the remainder of the season. I think personally Chris will be getting the trophy come January on the strength of these pictures alone but it will be interesting to see what the others come up with. Well done Chris.

Marco

The subject of this study; Paul Tunnell

This one really doesn't need a title. Everyone can see it is obviously Paul at speed.

Here is the same photo after being computer enhanced incase you suffer from exceedingly poor vision.

Chris even chartered a helicopter to ensure victory in the competition.

While he was hovering he was able to get this racing trike in action as well...

...and zoom in on it to make sure he wasn't seeing things.

An very good study of Paul's minute man.

Note from the Photographer

Please find herewith some of the least competently taken photos you will ever see. The only one that is nearly good is the one of the bloke in red (the last one) attached. I had pressed the button a bit too late for him, and overcompensated when it came to taking Paul. All the other shots are of Paul. I have to tell you that, because they are almost too small to see. Oh, except for the one of the trike. I've never seen a flash trike before.
