Triathlons and duathlons

Postby Maria David » Wed Mar 16, 2005 6:57 pm

Hi Everyone,

I would like to register the various people in the
club who would be doing or interested in doing
triathlons or duathlons this year. If you are
interested send me an email and if you know already,
what sort of events you would like to do.

I already have an idea about a few people, but I would
like to establish a emailing list, where I can keep
people up to date when doing their second favourite
sport (after cycling of course !).

It doesn't matter if you are already a first claim
member in other clubs - this year, I would like to see
if we can get some Addiscombe folk (1st and 2nd claim
members alike) to turn up at a few races and do some
team events or relays.

Membership

ACC is affiliated to the British Triathlon association
and now feature in the BTA handbook, which you receive
when you become a BTA member.

Membership to the BTA is not compulsory but there are
various advantages you gain when you become a member :
as well as reduced entry fee to races, the chance to
take part in the national rankings leagues, and world
age group championships, this also includes bta cycle
insurance, travel insurance, road side assistance, and
reductions on various items/services. A membership
form can be found on :

Getting started

If you are not sure what triathlon is all about or how
to get started check out :

I know of different swim coaches/swim sessions around
the London area - I can go into more details when I
know who is interested and where they live so we can
find something easily accessible.
