The course isn't that bad and theres only about a mile and three quarters climbing and thats not steep. In fact there is more descending than climbing(distance of course not altitude) with lots of chances for rest. The only real pain of it all is the potential for horrendous weather. If anyone is interested in doing the course then I will be doing it a couple of times over the next month or two. Saturdays seem best cos its quieter with less people. I was thinking of doing the whole thing as a nice steady session with short breaks between. but there is a path at the top where you can make the run shorter about 4 to 5 miles, but still with the climb. If anyone is interested let me know

I thought of running the course at some point next weekend, 18th/19th October, anyone else up for it? Also, I'm probably going to be using it as a fund-raising event for The Lavender Trust (for young women with brest cancer), anyone else doing it for charideee?

Sorry, I won't be around then. However, even if I were I don't know if I'd be able to run as my ankles are still not better.

Will wait til later in the month before I decide whether or not to enter BB.

By the way are you doing the Kingston Running Festival this weekend ? Good opportunity to get in a 16M run.

I was not intending to do the BB, last time I spoke with AJ I think he had decided to wimp out. Its all down to David. Probably won't make the 10km run this weekend as am intending to do the Brighton ride with Darren on Sunday.

Cheers

I was kneeing someone  not really an Aiki move but... I marshalled London to Brighton this year as I was ill and missed the most important phase of the training. Namely a 35 mile run. And I always said I wouldn't do it again without doing any training for it. Oh and I've put quite a bit of weight on, I am at my heaviest ever 14st 4lb and at 5feet 7 thats not too good for a distance runner. There's always next year. I was looking forward to Ballbuster as well but never mind.

Does anyone want to come with me to watch David on Saturday. If we meet at CSS at 7.30am and then cycle over to Box Hill we should be there for about 8ish, just after the event starts. We could cycle the route a couple of times and then from there cycle over to Rusper and meet up with the club run coming the other way.

Anyone fancy it I will be at CSS at 7.30.

Cheers
