Wanna do a sprint triathlon for free this weekend ?

My tri club has 9 teams entered into the Southwater Triathlon relays (at Southwater Country Park, nr Horsham) this Sunday.
Someone has dropped out of one of the teams, so I was wondering if anyone would like to step in.

Basically you're in teams of 3, and each person has to do the whole triathlon before you tag the next person. Distances are 400m swim in a lake (wet-suit advised, but you can borrow one on the day if you don't have one), 18.5km bike, 3.8km run.

It's a fun, popular event that takes place in a scenic park, with lots of local triathlon clubs down for the lark. You don't need to be fast or anything, as it's just for fun.
The places are paid for, so you get to race for free as well !

Interested ? Give me a shout on here or email mod56uk@yahoo.co.uk

Triathlon

Hi Maria,

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it. I promised my wife I would take her out for a bike ride on Sunday as she has not been out for ages.

Hope you find someone to fill the spot, you could ask Nick Wilson as he inicated to me he would like to have a go at a Tri, this could be a good one for a first timer. Not sure of his contact details, you could ask Monty or Marco if they have his email address.

Cheers

Marek.....

ps. If Nick needs a wetsuit then he can borrow mine but it is a surfer suit not a swimming one so he might sink a bit.

Can't make it Fiona in France so have to look after my daughter Nia (3yrs) for the weekend. But, hope to see you at Sevenoaks next weekend!

Cheers, H

Sorry, won't be there. By the time I got round to entering Sevenoaks Tri the race was already full ! Shame, it's a good race and I would have liked to compare my bike split with what I did earlier this year at Tonbridge.

Anyway, good luck on Sunday.

By the way, Southwater relays were great fun (I'm sure Dan B would agree too). Saw Mark Bayliss there as well. We should definitely get a couple of Agreeables for next year.
