Sunday CR 22 Nov

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

What speeds are the Sunday rides done at? Currently recovering from a broken ankle, allowed to ride bike after getting cast off, but very slow.

Hi Dominic

We advertise the Sunday CR as being ok for a strong 17mph rider or a regular 18mph rider, compared to the Saturday CR groups.

That's really a guideline, as the Sunday CR is normally hillier, so average speeds vary according to the route and who is riding on the day. The pace has been a little higher recently, but still fine if you're comfortable in the 18s.

Generally people ride at a steady tempo and wait at the top of hills if people get dropped.

Hope that helps? Come along and give it a try!

Thanks Del probably will in the next few weeks. Doesn't matter if I get dropped or am too slow I can always find my way home : :D

Hi Del
Is the Sunday CR regular now? I was out today and as I had my ACC gear on another rider stopped me and asked if we now run regular Sunday CRs. I said I believed we were now running a Sunday CR every week but I would check. He said his typical average speed was about 17mph. Rather than put his details on the forum if you can confirm details I will forward the information.
Thanks
Peter

I am pretty certain in recent history the answer is almost every Sunday. It's always published on here and Facebook the week before if it is going to happen.

6-10 riders out is a typical number but it's getting more popular. I need to get back into a regular weekend ride and join back in.

17's will be just about perfect for the Sunday CR. :D

There's a club run on most Sunday, usually dependent on either me or Jon Camden being able to lead it.

It doesn't need me or Jon, but we haven't had anyone else volunteer to plan a route and lead a ride up till now!

Check here and on the ACC Facebook page for details as we always post the ride details a couple of days before.

Strong 17 mph or 18 mph average will be fine.
