Lee Valley Velodrom track session 22/01/17

6pm to 9pm Sunday 22nd January 2017

The club has managed to get another 2hr slot at the legendary Lee Valley Velo Park where our national riders reigned in the Olympics and Worlds. It is now your chance to ride the same boards that Wiggins broke the hour record on.

There are 30 places available. The group will be split into two and alternate every 15mins so each rider will get 1hr track time.

The session caters for all ACC members weather it’s your first time on the boards or you are an accredited track rider.

The cost is £15 +hire equipment if required.

To confirm your place please post below or email velodrome@addiscombe.org then pay the club account £15 ASAP. Hire costs will be paid upon arrival at LVVP reception.

FAQ:

How much is equipment hire?
Bike with helmet cost £12 each to hire, shoes are £7, gloves £3. If you know how many bikes and shoes your club wishes to hire in advance, you can be invoiced for this, otherwise individuals need to arrange with plenty of time and hire via reception. Rollers are also available to hire at a cost of £5 per set per individual, per session.
 
Can I use my own pedals or make any adjustments on a hire bike?
Riders must use the pedals supplied on hire bikes, with either shoes equipped with Look Keo cleats, or adaptor plates that we have available to use. They cannot be changed. The only adjustments that can be made to a hire bike are the saddle height. No tools should be used.
 
Can riders use their own bikes?
Yes. Please refer to the attached document to make sure their bike is of the correct specification. Coaches reserve the right to refuse to allow bikes on the track if they are deemed unsafe, and riders will be required to hire a bike, or not take part.

What is the minimum age of riders for track sessions?
The minimum age for riders on LVVP hire bikes is 12, if a rider has track experience and their own track bike, riders of a minimum age of 10 can be accommodated.
