Hi - this sounds like a fab event. As an ACC newbie I don't know what the format of the race (B Cat) is. Anyone enlighten me please? Ta

PS Would you need a race licence?

Of course - as long as you spare us the "it wasn't an important race" comments afterwards. Forget Belgie - this is the most important race in the world! :D

I predict Sylv will walk away with the combativity prize and the top spot on the podium...

No racing license needed just show up on the day. Try and get to the Hillingdon with plenty of time to spare so you're not rushing around and panicking. There will be a chance to check out the circuit and ride around with the agreeable bunch for a few laps at a nice leisurely pace. There will undoubtedly be lots of good advice on offer from our BCF coach Huw Williams and I'm sure one or two experienced racers will chip in with some wise words on the day. I'm hoping this will be a launching pad into racing for some of you next year when the beginners racing series starts. And most importantly its a chance to hang out and have a bit of competitive fun with your club cycling mates.
PS I didn't check my email on Friday. Julie from Hillingdon has said the circuit won't be available till 1pm realistically so the race won't now start till 1.30pm

mmm...I'm not sure whether our 2nd cat Mountain bike man has won on a road circuit yet  It will be an interesting one. Also a young fella called Keith might have a big say in the A race

Only one winner of the A race in my mind and that's gotta be the shadow provided his hols and things haven't affected him too much.

The B race is probably harder to predict, ant?? Or will he be in the A race? Phil has good finish on him. What about last years second placed man who went with Ant?? Or could the diesel engine of malarky powerhi
to victory now he's been racing regularly.

I think the B will be largely decided by the A & B split.

And I was just about to hang up my road wheels for this year
This looks to be good fun, as long as there is no snow, fog, rain etc I will be there :)

In the B cat race obviously as I am rubbish on a road bike (my license says so !)

He was on the clubrun today in poor shape, really struggled to keep up with Paul H, Nick, Ed etc and we weren't exactly legging it. He recovered on the way home though.

I'm in with the A's if I race, will see how I feel nearer the time, I do tend to go well on that course though and if I can hang in till the end and summon up the energy for a sprint it maybe interesting. I do agree about Steve though, good circuit racer.

Brian was a good 2nd place to me in the B race last year.
