From Paul Tunnell:

It’s with great sadness that we have to tell you that Chris Watts died suddenly two days ago.
We have no further details at the moment but I will let you as soon as they are announced.

Should you wish to send a sympathy card to John, his address is
John Watts,
45 Juniper Road,
Langley Green,
Crawley RH11 7NL

Some of you may well have met Chris at Addiscombe Time Trial events. Some of you may have seen her excellently researched book on the history of the Addiscombe Cycling Club. Chris was also a formidable rider in her day. If you have a copy of the CTT handbook, you may well see entries like this in the Records and Competition Winners section at the back.

Unfortunately, along with several other ACC members, I will be in France, cycling in the Bourg d'Oisans area. We will take time out to remember dear Chris on the 22nd June, and pay our respects to a good woman and a great club member. My sincere condolences and prayers for John Watts and all Chris's family and friends at this time.

This is very sad news. Chris was a lovely lady with a mischievous side to her sense of humour and will be sadly missed. Please pass on my condolences to John, the pair of them were always a welcome site at time trial HQs and always interested to know how you did and what your form was like.
