2009 Cycling Tan Lines competition

Postby ThePinkDreamMachine » Wed May 27, 2009 8:18 am

We've all had them - those nasty stripes which single out cyclists from any other form of sentient life. Some rider's love them, most go out of their way to avoid them at all costs - and usually fail.

So let this thread be a celebration of the cycling tan line (hopefully most of us will see enough of the sun this summer to actually post some images)

To get the ball rolling - here's Chloe's from Nove Colli

A classic case of the lack of interface between jersey and shorts

Strictly speaking, not (a) a tan or (b) cycling specific.

Still, the long hot summer starts this weekend (according to my seaweed and pine cones) 8) , so this thread could have some legs.

Fortunately there is no photographic record of the time I got sunburnt through the slots in my cycling helmet in Lanzarote, and ended up with badger stripes on my head.

Don’t mean to be a killjoy, but red aint cool folks. Coming from sunnier climes the sun is a killer and have seen to many cases of skin cancer. You can still get an awesome tan, but slap on the protection 8) . You've been warned
