MTB Sunday 4 March

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Anyone for the traditional Sunday MTB ride - couple of hours easy off-road from East Croydon station, meeting at the taxi rank at 10am?

As long as its not raining hard it should be ok, waterproof jacket on and we can do a shorter one through some local woods

*not worth travelling far away from if it is raining hard

Doesn't look too bad, just a bit of light rain, so I'll be there, for an hour or so anyway.

Great ride today, even with the heavy rain it didnt seem to matter.

Taz, lurwin, Aodan, CJ, Mike, Bob and me out, with the weather we didn't want to go miles from home or anywhere super exposed.

Took the guys to a couple of small jump spots we used to play on years ago in the local woods, then joined up some other paths to some farm tracks near the bottom of Layhams. A quick slog up Fox Hill , a lap of keston and then we hid in the new cafe by Keston green but came out to the heaviest rain of the day.

Rather than zooming back onroad and getting soaked we opted for the cover of the woods to get us back to shirley and then some quick goodbyes there as we peeled off.

Great ride today, amazingly good given the weather.

See you all soon, could possibly be a Leith Hill this Saturday.

I'll definitely be going to Peaslake next weekend, but Sunday rather than Saturday. I have a friend visiting from Oregon, and he's keen to see if the Surrey Hills are as good as he has heard!

As I was first to the taxi rank this morning and the rain was starting to come down, I was expecting some drop-outs and a group of 3 riders if I was lucky. So it was great to have 7, and to discover even more fun terrain close to Croydon, with the more adventurous ones getting "small air" off quite a few jumps. Thanks to all who turned out.

sounds great! I've been working all day today so hadn't bargained on a ride when out of left field a handful of us did a tough three hours yesterday morning. Slippy out on the North Downs Way - sounds like you lot had fun. Can't do next week but I'm hoping to make time for a few more offroad extravaganzas in coming weeks so will keep an eye out for you

After todays soaking I must invest in a properly waterproof jacket.

First time in a long while today, I must do more soon. Well done to Marco led us out on another special trail, taking account of the weather and sticking to sheltered routes with comfortable gradients. Luckily the rain kind of held off until 12 by which time we were safely in a cafe in Keston.
