Gorrick MTB Race 6th May 2001

With the foot and mounth bans in place throughout 2001 the racing was always going to be competitive at the few cross country events that escaped the restrictions. Addiscombe had 9 riders competing in this event against the cream of the South East's mountainbikers. All of our riders completed the very technical course without needing the paramedic's assistance and all of them couldn't stop talking about it for at least a few days afterwards.

Looking at the results below you will notice that some of our lads were way up there in the rankings. It was no surprise to us to see this even though our weekly Sunday mtb rides are fun affairs rather than geared towards serious training. We reckon if everybody enjoys something then they will do well at it, hence the ultra laid back attitude on our rides.
