Shaun's Top Tips
We are now lucky enough to have a bunch of
junior riders in the club who come out on all the rides. We learn a lot
from them including some new riding tricks as well as some alternative
maintenance techniques we hadn't previously heard of. These ones from 15
year old Shaun B are amongst the best:
To make your bike go real fast put a small
wheel on de front and a big wheel on de back dat way you is going down
hill all de time, wicked.
dont buy puncture repair kits use sellotape.
To stop pigeons nesting in your handle bar
stem cellotape a cat in each hole.
if you cant afford suspension just let you
tyre down by half and have a spongy susey feeling
get a 2.10 tyere you dont want and shove
some nails through it {so you can see the point on the out side} for extra
grip get a 1.50/1.75 and put it on you rim put the 2.10 over it and pump
up the tyer. but it will be agains the rules but rules are there for
breaking.
dont by head docters of star funguld sluts
tighten your stem (not to much) and hit it with a hammer (use a pice of
wood underneath it so you dont mangle your stem) then tighten up fully.
wicked or what it works i'v used it.if you have rounded of a stem bolt
hole put a biger bolt in and boy this works i have tryed this and it is in
use in my KF stem.
when youre tyres are losing tread, cut
chunks out with a stanley knife to improve grip pour coke on rims to
improve braking - make v's stop quicker than discs
Cracked Frame Corner - a few simple
remedies
get a pice of steel put it around the crack
then bolt it in to place. or just weld it . mend the crack with a couple
of half chewed gummi bears. get enough saliva on them and it's as good as
a weld. get some solder and a blow torch and solder them togther my dad
dose it with the cental eating it may work
Puncture problems? if you want to avoid
punctures you can either:
rim it double tyer it or pick up your bike
and run CUSHTIE
