Summer Nightrides

When you are stuck at work on a hot summer's day sweating away dreaming about the rideyou did last weekend it can really get you down. Luckily for Addiscombe members and friends loads of likeminded off roaders get together every Tuesday and most Thursday evenings to satisfy their addictions to dirt and adrenaline.

The group meet in Central Croydon and head out on a fantastic route that takes in some great cross country bridleways, lung busting singletrack climbs and most importantly of all the fastest off road descents to be found in the green belt.

The following pictures were taken on a balmy summers night in July 2001. If you want to come out on these 2 hour rides then email us and we will send you the meeting place and time.

Some of the regulars at the central meeting point. Note the two full downhill bikes at the front of the picture. Excellent stuff - whatever bike you've got just turn up on it and you will have a great time.

Loads of bridleways can be found around Croydon. Just follow the blue arrows.

Jonathan's out almost every week.

Jez, Jason, Mark, Joe, Alex M, Jonathan, Peter K,New Guy from Dorking(sorry I never remembered your name) and singlespeed Sylvain.

Its getting a bit darker now on the last big DH of the night. Lights are going to be needed soon after this.

Alright, lights *are* needed for this one then.

Peter K realising its a bit different doing it with crap visibility compared to blasting down it on a Sunday ride.

They all made it safely down and now look for more tracks to take them back towards Croydon.
