Wanted - spacer

Postby Amy » Sun Feb 26, 2012 9:22 pm

Don't suppose anyone has a spare spacer for a 1"steerer? Needs to be alloy, 10mm and as thick as possible.

I've had to buy a new handlebar stem for the Ritchey bars and that means it's for a 1" and a quarter, so I've blagged a shim from Corridori but it wasn't still I tried fitting everything that I realised I needed a different spacer on the stem.

Thanks :)

I think I might have a spave 1" headset spacer that you can have, Amy. I'll have a look in the toy boxes tonight and let you know.

I've found a bag of spacers for 1" aheadsets, varying thickness (difference between inside diameter and outside diameter), but the largest is only about 5mm. You are welcome to as many of these as you want. I can stick them in an envelope and post them to you tomorrow, and you post back any you don't use. Or I can bring them on Saturday. Which do you prefer?

Perfect, Grahame! Even passed my mechanic's approval, so should have a bike with mudguards to ride next week. Now just got to replace the bearings in the Enigma bottom bracket - that's why it was wobbling about so much... At least I managed to buy the spares rather than a whole new BB (that Stronglight Activlink stuff is expensive  )
