1998 BMW 528i SE Touring - Now sold

Postby Grahame » Mon Aug 20, 2012 2:30 pm

We've got a little one on the way (Yay!) and my wife wants a car that is easier to get the child into the back of than her Polo 3 Door sport diesel, and smaller in length than my BMW 528 Touring.

The deal is, I'll get the Polo, and she'll have the "new" car.

So, the Beamer is going. It is a great car for cyclists, you can get 3 complete bikes* and 3 people with kit inside.
Dual zone climate control.
"Business" CD player.
M-Sport multi-function steering wheel.
155000 miles, so "just run in" according to the technician at its last service.
2 owners from new (Father-In-Law, then me).
Full service history - BMW until the last service, then highly recommended independent specialist.
MOT until July 2013, tax until January 2013.
3 green "blobs" out of 5 left on the service interval indicator - ie no need to service it for a good few miles yet.
£750 ONO.

*front wheel off each of 2 bikes, both wheels off the 3rd. All wheels will still fit inside the car.

We already own the Polo. Josie wants something with 4 doors, bigger than the Polo, smaller than the BMW and that minimizes bending to put the child in. It's looking like either a Ford C Max, Toyota Verso or VW Touran.

Good idea. Bending your child to make it fit into small spaces is not recommended.
