Both events were cancelled completely last year so this is an improvement. Croydon 10k is a really good event, I got my PB there, by rights it shouldn't be fast 'cause there are some draggy bits but the downhills seem to make up for it. saying that the start and finish lines have moved now so things may be different. You used to have to cross the tram lines going into and coming out of the road adjacent to Lloyd Park. This bit has been dropped but you still cross them on Oaks road.

I only did it once, 39"19 in 2005, really good event.

It's my pb too cos it's the only 10k I ever did!

I know of marco, ajay, dan B, huw g who have done it before too.

I too have done it just the once, 40'48" back in October 2005. It's the only 10k I've done as well. In fact, it's the only running race I've ever done...and I haven't even been for a run since...

I've been meaning to do it again but haven't had the inclination to train, essential for getting your leg muscles used to running. Last time I did the race on a whim and my preparation comprised just two 6km jogs; my legs were stiff for 2 days after the event...

Well apparently the photos on the site are from the "October 2007 10k" run.... so I guess not totally cancelled last year? :)
Hmmm, might be tempted to trot along.

Yeah, bit like riding but without the wheels. You can still shave and wear lycra if you like.
