Thanks for the advice Chloe & others. That sounds good. Also Snoops (wife) suggestion.
I plan in the next couple of weeks to just swim a bit in my local pool a couple of times a week - hopefully I can get a bit better this way then I will try to come along to some of these sessions or use some of the other suggestions made here or to be made here.
I have a rough training regime in my head for the next month or two. What does everyone think of the following:
I currently commute by bike about 12 - 13 miles each day each way. Continue doing this Monday to Thursday
I have recently started lunchtime running at work (just over 3 miles - hopefully to be increased slightly over time). Currently do this about twice a week. Maybe increase the running to 3 times a week over the next couple of weeks (Tue, Wed, Thur)
Club run on Saturday
Finally try to fit in swimming as much as possible. Definately sundays and then atleast once again in the week for the next month or two.
This is pretty much my current training regime but with a couple of swimming sessions added in. Over time I think I will have to cut back on the running / cycling and increase the swimming.
Any thought or suggestions on the plans?
