Tri/Du athlon running session this sunday

Postby huw williams » Fri Jan 23, 2009 12:24 pm

Increasingly there seem to be more riders targeting combined run/bike events and these sessions have proved popular so far so anyone who wants to join us is most welcome.

10 am, this Sunday in Lloyd Park. The field on the South corner where the tram crosses over

90 min session for intermediate and above standards: Some technical exercises to begin, followed by pyramid intervals/Parlauf intervals

To me there didn't seem to be that many local duathlon's but could be wrong. Won't be out running this Sunday. But if I can find some reasonably priced local events, then I'll probably enter them.

These sound interesting Huw, there is even an oppurtunity for a cafe stop halfway round the park with the Pond Cafe up by the main road!? :D

I was there, where was everyone else?
In the end probably did enough just running to get there and then have a quiet walk round in the drizzle. How did everyone else get on? Huw's plans sounded quite hard going for a first running session. :?:

It was cancelled due to the weather - Not because the runners wouldn't go out - because the coach refused to stand around in the pouring rain watching everyone else having fun

Sorry K I texted everyone to say it was off but didn't expect you to be coming with your arm cut up and ugly-looking and your face in a plaster-cast.

This wasn't a one-off session, they are regularly on a sunday at 10 weather permitting, so do some running before you decide to join us - there are some serious runners in this club :D

Just the arm in plaster cast at moment but a face cast would definately look interesting to say the least...

Nice one Kasper... the girls are going to love those bad boys when they heal up, get a bit of bike oli in there to help with the effect,

have you got your self a hard core story of how you got it..

cos falling off your bike just isnt going to cut it...
