Brick Saturday

Postby Paul H » Thu Mar 12, 2009 11:14 pm

Stu, Matt & Myself will be doing the Banstead Woods TT run http://www.parkrun.com/bwtt_home.aspx followed by a bike to Charlwood cafe and then back to do the TT again. Let us know if anybody fancies joining us.

If some people want to do a TG ride and there are not enough riders, stop at the Esso station in Hooley and we will meet you there at 9:35am.

Doesn't matter if you can't - get some non-drafting practice in for the club Duathlon champs. - do the run, ride to Charlwood and back, do the run again - very specific training and excellent preparation :D

Youre welcome to try but we are using TT bikes so will be pretty full on. We are meeting at Banstead Woods Car park and will be going via Hooley onto A23 etc.

Excellent results - be interested to see how your after-ride times compared too?

19:32 2nd run for me and Stu bailed out with the usual excuses.

Quite happy as I have only done 3 weeks of Treadmill and 2 road runs beforehand since beginning of November. Need another 60 seconds off the 1st run in next 3 weeks though. I usualy expect the 2nd run to be a minute slower.

Wow, some excellent times, I might try to join you on this in a couple of weeks time although I will be a fair bit slower than those times. Did you use the TT bike on the club run after?

Cheers

I will be doing it in 2 weeks. Dont worry about being slower as I sure you be ready to ride a lot quicker than "high maintenace" Stu. It was a 30min transition after he fixed his 2 punctures.

With his faffing at the transitions, having to pay for him at the cafe and his whinging , it felt like Id done the ride with my wife.
