Kent Cyclosportive 12 Sept

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Hi Marek
I think we said a quick hi before the ride. How did you get on.
I enjoyed this ride, although quite a long one, apart from the hills bookending it is was quite flat. Before the start I thought I'll never make the gold std and I was buddying up with someone so didn't want to rush around it. But then half way round I was beginning to think we might do it but a collision bent my rear derailler which totally broke a few miles later. After a bit of repair work I did the last 20 k as a single speed using the big ring. The climb at the end up Carters hill was painful but I was pleased to see a few walking it while I struggled past . I must have looked like one of the Tof B riders going up that climb the other day, finished in just under 5hrs.
Really well orgainsed and well sign posted route. Would definitely do it again and definitely go for gold next time.

Yes, is a great event always well organised. Managed to go just over 4 hours, slower than last year due to one of my group puncturing and me having to go and fetch a bottle from the side of the road after hitting a pot hole at full speed, nearly went over the handlebars, thankfully bottle was still full and did not get run over. Was great weather, always seems to cheer up for that event, was pretty beat knackered at the end but needed a good thrashing to get me back into shape.

Cheers
