Easy pace alternative rides 2017

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Easy pace alternative rides 2017

Postby Amy » Sun Jan 15, 2017 2:40 pm

Over the hols I was driven over a lot of roads that I used to love and I really need to get back out on them! So I am going to try doing at least one ride a month to different destinations.

The first one I'm hoping to do is for the 28th January to the Medicine Garden just outside of Cobham. This may move to the Sunday depending on the weather - so glad I got out yesterday!

Anyone care to join me? The main aim is to try and get some strength back by going up a few real hills and just getting some steady, easy miles in.

Following on I will aim to do one ride like this on the last weekend of every month but if anyone wants to try a route on a different weekend I'll probably be up for it.

Just in case anyone was interested in this ride, I've got a cold and it's supposed to rain all day tomorrow... Will reschedule for another day.

Nope.

Not planning to try tomorrow as I need to get back and finish baking. Maybe next week.

I am definitely going to do this Saturday 18 March now that I seem to have thrown off that cough completely and don't have any baking to do till next month...

Please let me know if you are interested. It'll be hillier than the cr but we won't be going fast and will regroup as necessary.

Sorry, Jon - just that the following weekend is Mother's Day and I'll probably won't be able to avoid going to Mum's then. Can and probably will be re-run later as can be extended quite a bit depending on weather and abilities.

Hi Amy, I would like to come along but need to be back similar time to usual - is that roughly what you are aiming for? Thanks!

Indeed different route/hills for me. I enjoyed the ride - thank you - and I make it 52 miles door-to-door.

I'm thinking of doing another ride either on the 8th or the 15th April. If a shorter ride is needed then we could go to Knockholt or otherwise I have ideas for a route over towards Shere, Albury or Horsley. Or I might think of something else in the meantime, like a route that ends up at Tanhouse but by a completely different route to the usual cr. I'm hoping that these will develop into longer rides over the summer.
