Alternative ride to Ockley (probably) 1st July

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Got an idea for a route - anyone interested?

The idea is to go at the pace of the slowest, probably me, take our time up any hills, regroup etc...

Always come some of the way, Jon! I think I'll go out along Chipstead Valley Road now it's reopened and then Walton on the Hill, Headley, Leatherhead, Fetcham, Bookham and Effingham before heading up to the top of White Down - you could then go along Ranmore and drop down to Westhumble and come back up Box.

Now, two people have asked about my alternative rides in the last week  I think it was Duncan and a guy called Robert from one of the faster groups

I'm heading for Ashstead so it might work :D

Do you want me to put this ride on facebook?

Thank you to those who joined me for this - Cap'n Jon (as far as Headley), Jo Whiting, Steve Clancey, Shak Uddin and Robert from the 20s! I think I managed to take some different roads for you all, even if one was the last one I expected for Robert who seemed to have done most of roads on my route.

The tea stop at Ockley is not a café but a shop selling mostly local produce but does do coffee, tea and hot chocolate, cake, sandwiches etc. Apparently the coffee is locally roasted, near Horsham did the ladies say? There's also a wide range of locally produced wine, beer and gin - tasters available but no one took up the offer. Anyway not a stop if it's cold and wet as the only place to sit is in the bee garden and also probably not too many people at a time. Good for an emergency stop and it's good to support a local initiative, selling local food locally.
