Ride to Wisborough Green Saturday 10 July

Well, I think that was best described a scenic but sweaty. Rode down to Wisborough Green via Leith Hill/Coldharbour for the view. A bit of a headwind on the way down which was a bit wearing at times. Also it means that you don't notice how much you're sweating until you stop. Got to the cafe to find it had been occupied by a large force from the SWRC, but luckily they hadn't eaten everything.

Shorter route back cutting across Ellen's Green, Capel, Newdigate. Some nice lanes and a brief glimpse of the lovely G10/42.

Back for a quick (and very welcome) ice cream at Nonna Rosa. 77 miles Coulsdon to Coulsdon.

Yep, definitely sweaty - like my flat at the moment - my arms were graveyards for hundreds of small insects in a sea of sweat and suntan lotion. Definitely scenic, with some good views from Leith Hill south over the Weald as well as picture postcard houses and villages.

Sorry Rachel found it hard to keep up but just as she decided to call it a day, we bumped into the Snoop group who took her under their wing.

Yeah, the SWRC had a pop at the ACC habit of sticking to the same route every week but they did invite me to come out with them - unfortunately they meet at Cobham, not really practical for me in Hackbridge. The poor staff at the cafe were a bit overwhelmed.

I have to say that the wind was a bit nagging and felt like I was riding into porridge with nearly every pedal stroke a bit of a struggle. According to Phil's toy though we did an average for the whole of ride of 15mph.
