Thursday Night MTB Rides

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Any reason why we have to wait until winter for these?

A couple of hours for mountain biking is much easier to find in the evening for me as I prefer to do long road rides at weekends.

I'd love to get to know some local trails........

Sounds good Snoop. Doesn't have to be a Thurs. Most days are fine to be honest. Not about next Friday though......

I live out caterham way and often head accross farthing downs and onto North downs way via White Hill, up for evening/night rides if anyone is out this way.

I'd be up for a bit of this. Of course, my preferred starting point would be Tattenham Corner station. There's lots of tracks out from there.

does anyone fancy trying this out on Tuesday evening? We could start at the bike shop in Wallington (opposite Sainsbos on Stafford Road). We can head across little woodcote estate and up towards Banstead (almost all off road) then dip down and quickly up again to Epsom and the racecourse. Cross the race course and bimble about over there (I kind of know the way) get a little lost, pop out near Tadworth station, short section on road before diving off and crossing trails and farmland then a nice whizzz down a bridle path, turn left onto the road then back to Banstead, quiet rods round the back, offroad again briefly before back up over little woodcote estate. Takes about 2.5 hours so we'll almost def need lights for the second half of the ride. Mine are pretty crap but I eat lots of carrots :D

I can be quite flexible on start time for this week. And if no one fancies it no problem, I'll just have a whizz about on my own.

And of course we could and should try a different route starting from Croydon (I'll need help for that) soon as well. And perhaps one out towards Julian's way. Be nice to build up a little library of local ish mainly off road stuff eh?

So - who fancies giving this a crack next week (Aug 31st)?

Will check with the better half to see if she is home, if she is and kids dont need a sitter def up for it, and like the idea of rotating where we start from, start of a weekly night ride?

as new to this, what level are we talking? Full Suss? better eat lots of carrots. its pretty dark in the woods

Hello Julian I've reposted this in a new thread for Tuesday. If you can make it we can always meet somewhere else en route if Wallyville isn't that convenient? Tuesdays would be good for me as I could most likely borrow a car on Tuesdays to make the odd more remote start possible
