Heh all,

great ride today, I shall let someone else with better humour deliver the one liners but heh really had a great run, sorry had to turn back at the TOP of Ditchling, but got a great view of what Mercedes Airbags look like when some one decides to park their car in the side of someone elses very posh expensive car, it was obvious who owned the one hit, he was running up the road not looking happy.

Anyway if 6 yes 6 punctures cant ruin the day what can? see you all next week and any who turn up Monday to join the four of us. :D
J.

PS Keith, £1600 FOR A SET OF WHEELS MY FIRST TWO CARS COST LESS

The 16/17 mph group picked up FOUR punctures in a space of a nano second on the descent just north of Smallfield!!!

Alan 'Mr Inner Tube' (he went through FOUR  ) stuffs yet another holed inner tube into his back pocket.

ACC in action - Brian and Lindsay - our well oiled inner tube replacement machine - replace inner tube number two. :D

Top group, top day, as for the flints i think more check you have spares that are actually repaired and not old ones or it could of been the old rim nip on when re bedded, we all know we have done it...

My two flats one front and one rear from same pot hole, and yes tyres were as hard as track pump could get em, just 14 stone and 25mph dont mix when hitting big hole with sharp edges

Team Costiff - Chris and Nigel - enjoying the coffee and cakes and relaxing at Nonnas. The pair of them just got stronger and stronger and really put the hammer down for the last 20 miles from Faygate to the cafe. :D  The rest of us ( apart from Martin, that's not Martin O BTW who got cramp) were hanging on for dear life as the thought of coffee and carrot cake drove Chris and Nigel along. We pretty much averaged 20 mph from Faygate - impressive stuff!!!  :D :D

The thumbs are up for Southern Railway. After an epic ride Keith bailed out at Horsham and took the train. After three months off the bike he only intended to ride to Turner's Hill!!!  But you can't keep a good man down. Unfortunately no amount mothering from Monty and no amount of fizzy orange tablets could get him the last 25 miles.

So completely knackered was he, and so past caring what anyone else thought, that after a couple of expressoes and some cake he phoned his mum who picked him up from Nonnas!!! We all jeered suitably!!
