A couple of us are thinking of getting some steady winter rides in over the next couple of months to build up strength and stamina (and just get on some different lanes. Get the bulk of the ride in first and then maybe stop off at a suitable pub* (or cafe) for a lateish lunch on the way back before heading for home. Could be Saturday or Sunday.
Anyone up for this?
*and it's not for the alcohol, though I'm sure some will try the beer... Pubs tend to be warm and I do like it when they do a hot pudding like sticky toffee pudding with custard - works a treat on a cold winter's day There's also more pubs than suitable cafes and they're more likely to be open on a Sunday....
