Monthly Weds rides

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Can't make this Wednesday Marco, as on an early at Waddon Leisure Centre.
Shame to see the back of social wednesday rides but we all know where the cake cafe is now in Downe.
Hope you are not emigrating the country and not leaving us all together! ;-)

Hi Marco, will be a shame to lose these rides, they've helped me get into road cycling with your help. Maybe re-schedule to another day perhaps when you're free? I'll be there this Weds anyway, looks like it will be another hot day :P

Hi Marco, will be sorry to see you go. I am attending ride this Wed. It would be good to keep the Wed rides going, I am sure there will be enough of us there to possible play 'follow my leader' with some of us taking turns. We can discuss this Wed. Vince

Thank you Vince for leading the ride out this morning. Only 4 riders today, but was a good ride to Beaver Water World in Tatsfield where we met Younis the giant Tortoise 8)

Hi Marco, only four riders turned up yesterday. We did wait for you until 10:15 as we thought you were coming. There is great interest for the Wed rides to continue, so we will wait for your response.

Hi Bo-Gilly - not sure what you mean by 'wrong caff'. The four riders mutually agreed on a different route & decided to go to the cafe at Tatsfield Water World. We decided not to go to the cafe at Downe as the ride was too short.

I'd definitely be up for joining the odd Wednesday ride soon...whenever work allows. Always happy to plan and lead a route as well...if no-one else fancies it.

On a non-cycling related note: what's Beaver Water World like?! I've ridden past it so many times...and always wondered if it's worth a visit with my 2yr old daughter.
What's it like?

Cheers,

Sam

Hi Marco, not on FB. There seems to be enough interest to keep Wed rides going. I can make next one on 2 Oct, then I am away for 6 weeks. However, I am sure we can organise a leaders rota with new routes. I will confirm 2 Oct ride on this Post a few days before. I have started to collect email addresses, so I can send out a reminder of forthcoming rides. Some people may want to do a mid week ride as well. Keep in touch.

Hi Sam, Beaver World well worth a visit with children. There is a nice cafe outside & car parking is available at the end of the drive, just past cafe.

Really, really sad if these rides end. But I suppose you new Boys have turned it into quite a fast ride? :?

Hi RachelB - There is a really good chance these rides will continue as a lot of interest has been shown. The rides will fail if no-one attends. As regards 'new Boys' & 'fast rides', these will be very much social rides, however, dictated by the attendees. The idea will be to encourage all levels & it is important that we all talk to each other to ensure we get the 'balance' right. Please come along to the next one Wed 2 Oct & see how you get on. Does not have to all road riding, if anyone knows of any good off road trails (with suitable bikes) we could try these as well.

Hi Vince

Sounds good to me though I don't do MTB. So that off road stuff is out of the question. It's good to hear there's still an interest in this ride. :D ....
