Brighton & Back Captain's Coastal Dates!!!!

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

I have a question too...

What time will we get back to Coulsdon?
I imagine 3hrs back leave Brighton at 1300...

I only ask as the wife wants to know

Generally speaking after a few pints it usually ends up finding a B&B or kipping on the beach and cycling back the next day.

Tell your missus not to wait up ?

I'm gonna try hang on to those 20mph wheels. Is the 9.30am meeting point definitely CSS carpark?

Expect to be back in Coulsdon between 5 and 6.00pm. Depends on the group, punctures, mechanicals etc.

Hi Toks, yes, 20 mph goes as posted from CSS. Brian T is the VC leading.

Various routes, but basically south through Turners Hill and then up Ditchling Beacon down to Brighton and then on to Hove.

It's been suggested that a café lock is a good idea to deter the casual miscreant. The bikes are in sight of the outside tables though. I take the strategy of leaving mine near a much blingier specimen. :D

Ryan

I share you worry. But you leave your bike at your own risk. I get very twitchy about leaving mine but like Phil says if they're going to nick one i doubt they'd choose my Bianchi. we leave them on the green in sight of the restaurant. we've being going there years and have never had one nicked but there's always a first time. do what you think best.

a great first run of the year, plenty of VC's loads of riders and the sun shone too, I am hearing one of the club ended up having a nasty accident, any updates?

we did the run there in 2hrs 27 17.9 avg and the return in a little under 3 getting to Nonnas at 4pm

a great group on the way down including, Mark, Nick, Scott, Simon, Alan, RIch,another Nic Me and a couple of others but all took the front and kept tight so blooming enjoyable.

cheers all
