16/17s ride Sunday 15 June

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Looks like another sunny day tomorrow. Would anyone like to join me for a ride somewhere avoiding the London-Brighton route?

CSS 9.30am

Please let me know if you are planning to come as I shall otherwise go directly from home (Selsdon).

Bridget, having been a lazy so and so on the IoW the last couple of days, I shall drag myself out tomorrow and join you.

I shall probably regret saying this tomorrow morning.

I was thinking Surrey Hills, but Kent is seeming popular. Is there a cafe at Hever or Bough Beech?

Not sure about Hever (well there is but inside the place), there is a visitors area at Bough although definitely at the top of Ide Hill. See you tomorrow.

Chartwell NT has a nice cantine/café, with tables outside. It's outside the actual NT thing, so that's an option.
Hever's café, as far as I remember, is inside the gardens, as kiwiwazza said.

Personally, I really don't mind where we go. Surely you know better the roads and it will be a nice day out.

So, I'm not sure Waitrose in Edenbridge is going down as my favourite cafe stop of all time ;)

9 of us were out for a nice ride up to Bletchingly, down to Smallfield and then over to Edenbridge, where Justin's mechanical made for an unplanned detour in Waitrose whilst Warren provided assistance. Back over Tilburstow and Bug Hill  and home.

Thanks all for coming out and putting up with my slowness on the hills! :)

Great ride Bridget, thanks for organising. Hardly slow and you seemed to get a second wind on the way back!

We really enjoyed the ride today, and Bug Hill was a nice discovery. It's not far from home, and quite handy for evening rides.
Thanks for today.

I never recommended Waitrose; It was better than a wall (potentially) falling over your Time at Costa :D

Working near Crockham Hill, I can't believe nobody has thought yet of opening a proper café in the area. Who knows, maybe I open one day a "Café La Bicicleta" :P

Bug hill a nice discovery?!

I didn't blame you for Waitrose - it was a good idea considering the circumstances and I quite enjoyed my iced buns.

Warren - I think the iced buns must have been responsible for my second wind. That and the fact we were on the flat again ;)
