Sproutbuster ride Sunday 28/12 0930, Nonna's

On road, off road, round in a big circle or down to the coast, we do the lot. We don't just do it at all speeds and for all levels, we do it Agreeably as well!

Weather permitting I will lead this longish ride, around 80 miles and around 3000 feet of climb taking in a paved stretch of Woking Canal. It is designed to eat into those newly acquired fat reserves and get you out of the house for an extended moment. I have pimped the ride from a friend so you will see it begins at Redhill station but we can start at Nonna's promptly at 09.30am. Not yet decided where to stop so bring some stuffing sandwiches just in case we don't. Hopefully you can upload the file from here https://www.dropbox.com/s/k0dh5pe8w8k9g26/Woking%20Canal%20route%20RCC%2016%20Nov%2014.gpx?dl=0

No one turned up, waited at nonnas until 0945 then off to redhill station. Did club run to newdigate and a couple of loops of box hill, bloody cold though.

Looking at this but feeling doubtful
A severe weather warning has been issued for London by the Met Office with widespread icy patches expected to form overnight.

The Met Office say ice will form on untreated surfaces and urge extra care to anyone travelling.

Temperatures are expected to plunge in the capital between Monday and Wednesday getting as cold as -5C in some parts.
"It's going to be very cold next week and will not change until the New Year when it will get milder.

"Central London early next week will see temperatures as low as -2C and -5C in the Greater London area.

"It will be colder than at any point this winter but it will be sunny and dry so it's not all bad."

Hi Alan
well I thought I was having a senior moment this morning, but then 3 others turned up. It was cold and icy but we had a good run out returning to Nonnas for hot drinks.
see you soon.
