Sunday Club Run - January to April

Postby Del » Fri Jan 09, 2015 10:14 pm

Hi All.

Once again, I'm no planning a Sunday CR this week.

I've decided to take a break from the Sunday CR until April. I've a few reasons for this:

Firstly, I've got a couple of weekends coming up where I'm planning to ride elsewhere with friends or on organised rides

Secondly, as the weather can be bad at this time of year, I'd prefer to have the ability to ride out from home (Horley) and vary the time if I need to, so I can avoid any bad weather.

Thirdly, I've largely had to rely on Jon Camden and Alan Malarkey to cover when I'm not out, and with Alan in Colombia, I don't really have enough alternative ride leaders. The first two points mean that I can't really cover the rides at the moment.

So, I'll plan to return in April. By then the weather should be better and if I can find others willing to lead the rides, then we should be able to run a weekly ride through the rest of the year.

Of course, I'm very happy for others to lead rides, whether that's before April or later in the year. Paul Hone already leads rides for the training group on many weekends. Although, people tend to call the Sunday CR Del's ride it really isn't. It's the ACC Sunday CR.

Anyhow, thanks for those that have supported the ride. They've been good fun and people have been generally positive about them, and that's been good to hear.

Hope to see you all in April.
