Addiscombe CC Time Trial Leagues
Addiscombe will be running a series of TT Leagues as part of the Club 10s.
Below are the details you need to inform you of how this exciting new competition will work. All you need to do is come along and enjoy the Club Evening 10 mile time trials. These are events for club members and open to all. They are run in an informal and very welcoming manner - the perfect opportunity to try something different or dip your toe in to racing in a relaxed and friendly environment.
We hope to see you there (dates below). Just let Jon Hemming, our Time Trial Secretary know in advance that you would like to ride.
To encourage participation in the ACC TT series.
To recognise and reward commitment and consistency over the season.
There will be five leagues: scratch, handicap (all), junior, ladies and veteran.
The Leagues are open to ACC 1st claim members.
All ACC riders riding a club TT score points towards Handicap and Scratch Leagues.
Riders aged 40 and over score points towards the Veterans League. For the Veterans League, placings are determined by riders’ time compared to VTTA age standards.
Only rides in ACC Tuesday Club TT races (including inter-club, but not 2-up) and the ACC President’s 10 TT race count towards the League Table.
Points awarded 40 pts for 1st place down to 1 pt for 40th.
Non-members who ride do not affect position or points. For the purpose of the Leagues only, their rides are ignored.
DNF scores 1 point, DNS does not count.
The best 4 rides out of 6 in the Addiscombe CC TT series count toward the rider’s final points total. (Note, in the case of an event being cancelled, the qualifying events will be correspondingly reduced to 3 out of 5 etc)
At the end of the season only riders that compete in at least 3 races with be included in the final official table.
An ACC Club TT Series Leagues Secretary (Jon Camden) will be appointed responsible for collecting results and collating the league tables.
Results and league tables will be published on the ACC Website.
A trophy will be awarded for the champions of each of the leagues.
Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd at the end of the season again for each of the leagues.
If points are tied at the end of the season, the highest number of counting 1st places, followed by highest number of 2nd places etc will be counted down.
Events take place from approximately 7pm onwards and times can be confirmed for each event by Jon Hemming.
