Brighton mitre Friday night Crit This Friday

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Brighton mitre Friday night Crit This Friday

Postby Serge » Mon May 16, 2011 5:35 pm

This Friday its the Brighton Mitre Hove park Crit. Its a really short loop of Hove park with just one little rise, decent chicane and a short back straight. All in about 1km.

Race starts at 645pm for the 4ths and 730pm for the 2/3 cats.

Greeeeaaaaat place for 4th's to get a few points on the board and apart from our own Addiscombe club road race, the best palce to dip there toe into racing.

The race lasts 30/40 minutes + 5 laps and had a very small field at the last one (Maybe more this time). Everyone seems really easy going and friendly so its not too serious either :)

I plan on racing there, I will be leaving Croyon at about 4ish if anyone needs a lift. But i will be going out for a few beers after and am unable to bring you back (sorry  )

Let me know if anyone is interested.

I dont envy you doing the drive up there, but the course will be perfect for you. Ive never actually ridden Worry Gill, I always took the chicken run  .

Medusa complex is great they, multiple lines down that funnel you into a drop off at speed. Many great riders have binned it there

Have fun.

I hope to make it.

Weather forecast is shocking - should keep the field small!

Hi guys yes weather looks pretty bad, if it really raining hard I will not be taking part however it should make for some interesting racing as the course is narrow and there is a chicane into a fast downhill corner under tree cover !

Details here : http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/events ... es-Crits-3

Entry on the line. I would bring a turbo trainer/roller to warm up on as there is not much chance to for the 2/3rds as the 4th are still out on the track.

I will let you know who to watch because the same people do the same thing everytime and it works
