F100

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

I was thinking about this one too cos my brother lives only a few miles away. And I missed the 100 miles bronze standard by 1'18".

Robert and Phil,

If it is the F1/100 I have ridden the old and the new. The new version is basically the F1/50 elongated at either end to make it into 80 miles in a couple of laps then onto the a smaller finishing circuit. Again I think twice. This is a mixture (50/50) of dual carriage way and single carriage way. There is a drag on the dual carriage way which is nothing really but stings the legs a bit at the end.

Is it worth the trip? I think like all TT courses it depends on the day. I set my PB on the old version of this course, which was supposed to be slower.

Is it faster than the local 100 courses? I would say so.

Hi,

I've got the startsheet and the course description. The only thing that puzzles me is where it says "Girtford underpass". Is it this bit where you appear to do a sort of figure of 8 (coming from the North)? That seems to be about the right distance. Just looks a little fiddly.
Just looks a little fiddly.

I expect it will be okay with arrows and marshals. Looks like, if you're heading south to turn and head back north, that you turn left and follow it through the little RABs under the main road and then left at the next RAB to loop back to the main road.

There are a couple of curvy under or over and curl back turns at either end of the P885.
