ACC Members only 2011 Club Road Race Championship...

[size=150]I'd imagine some of you are just winding down for the season and are planning to take a few days off now that summers come to an end. Well...don't take too many days off coz you need to get that engine primed and ready for the number 1 ACC club event of the year. It will take place at Hillingdon Cycle Circuit this year on Saturday October 15th If you haven't been to Hillingdon before its in West London less than a mile away from Southall. Hillingdon has good parking facilities, a bar, showers, toilets etc The race will follow the format of previous years with a seperate A and B race. Both races start at 1.30pm. The B Race will be 35 mins + 5 laps: A race will be 50 mins + 5 laps

The B Race is for clubriders and inexperienced/novice/4th cat racers

The A Race is for experienced racers: 3rds and 2nds
There will be lots of prizes available
Positions 1st, 2nd, and 3rd from both races will recieve prizes
The most aggressive rider
The blingiest rider
The Best Junior
A woman's Prize
Veteran Prize

A first Aider will be there on the day (we've never needed one so far) lets hope it reamain that way
The circuit is very safe and easy to negotiate and they'll be lots of experienced guys to help you out and give tips on the day[/size]

Some questions Toks which might be in people's minds, particularly those who've never raced before.

Who would be in the A race and the B race?
Which categories in which? Novices in B, also 4th cats?
Where will it be? Hillingdon closed circuit or open roads like Horne circuit?
Will there be a neutralised section for novices to see course - couple of laps say?
How long are the races going to be?
If novices racing then no race licence needed?
How much will it cost to enter? Guess a fee to cover prizes, day licences, insurance etc.
Will there be a first aider or medical support in the event of an accident? (Hopefully they'll be nice and bored sitting about doing nothing).
Is there a poster at the cafe? Has it been broadcast at the CR (CSS)? Mass email going to be sent out?
Perhaps post in General and Rides section as well to reach more members, particularly novices who may not read the Racing section very often.
