Interclub TT vs NP - 5th July 2011

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Interclub TT vs NP - 5th July 2011

Postby Keith » Wed Jun 29, 2011 7:16 am

I expect that Jon will be along soon with an official calling notice, but at the risk of treading on his toes, I'll start the ball rolling.

Next Tuesday, 5th July is the Interclub 10mile TT versus Norwood Paragon on the Bletchingley course.

The last time Bletchingley was used was 2 years ago when Addiscombe won :D . The top 6 riders' times are accumulated to determine the winning club.

    2009 results
    Top Six Addiscombe:

      George Brent: 27:34
      Sylvain Garde: 27:39
      Paul Hone: 28:24
      Matt Chapman: 28:39
      Huw Griffiths: 28:43
      Dominic Lowe: 28:55
      Total Time: 2h49m54s

    Top Six NP:

      James Stuart: 26:41
      Marcus Brueton: 27:38
      Simon Hazeldine: 29:12
      Steve Roach: 29:50
      Nigel Dinning: 30:27
      James Shrubsall: 30:56
      Total Time: 2h54m44s

I’m in. Doubt I’ll be as close to George this year, but I got to try and get back that 1s from Marcus :D

Please add me.

Marcus B is worried btw as James and Angus are not available so we have a good chance of winning this year

Jon, can you ensure that Dave K & me aren't set off at similar times - I wouldn't want anyone making unsubstantiated accusations of cheating.

And of course Dave K is no longer riding for NP, so that's another fast guy out of the picture.

...and they are expert sandbaggers with a few more fast guys waiting in the wings.

My money's on George, Sylv, Paul H, Matt (if riding), Darren, AN Other to be our counters.

I was expecting Marcus B to be here straight away reminding me that he was on a road bike in 09

Huw G is still pretty fast, I raced with him at Mountain Mayhem 24h the other week, i'll ask if he wants to do it. Surely Andy W's got to ride too?

I'm not that worried! :)

Sylv, I won't be on a standard road bike this year either.

I'd chuck carl into that list too.

I doubt I'll get anywhere near my 27:20 PB round there done in 2006. :(

You don't need me to ride then...

Oh yes if Carl's riding then he's bound to be a counter, and one of the faster ones.
