Crystal Palace - closed circuit race - 16 August

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Good one for trying it John. From what I've been told, a nasty circuit.

A 5th place to Sylv according to the official TV footage:

The reason for the new finish spot wasn't a very good one. Nervy crash in the 3/4s and the had to bring an ambulance into the U shaped bit where the normal finish line is.

Hopefully nothing worse than a collarbone. Not nice anyway.

(At least with time trialling you'll get smacked by a transit doing 90 from behind and never know a thing)

That was a tough race. Fast and technical..... bit scary with a large group too, you need to be 110% focused to just avoid wheels etc etc! .... I got dropped 3 or 4 th lap in..... on the hill..... Ghaleb lasted longer and diod a great ride!.....not sure if it's my cup of tea, much prefer the longer courses like New Chapel!

New Chapel was much more fun and I lasted longer into the race!

Well done Sylv! you where strong mate, that break you initiated early on was ballsy too! :D
