Urban Hill Climb

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

I did - never got round to doing a write-up ..

As it was free the event was massively popular and oversubscribed – the reserve list was longer than the confirmed entries, which ran out within 10 minutes of going live.

Was a great event and I would recommend it (it hurts like nothing else for 2 minutes, but the pain goes away quickly afterwards). The climb on Swaines Lane is not as steep as the more famous Toys Hill or White Lane, but still a nasty little one!

Poor Germain's legs died in the final, after having trashed the opposition in his previous two rounds.
