Gorrick Brass Monkeys Winter Enduros

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Anyone else thinking of doing this series? Always nice to be lapped by a friendly face :D

I did three of the 4hr races a couple of years ago . . . and haven't really been on the mtb since. But a day of ironing and watching the rain outside has made me crazy enough to think I'l give it another go

Anyone fancy this or the SPAM salisbury plain challenge as they fall on the same day (18th). The 4 hour for the Brass Monkeys and the full 50Km for the Salisbury plain challenge will be my choice. Looking for a top ten at the salisbury plain challenge if thats the event of choice, Based on current fitness and time spent on the MTB may have to realign my ambition for the Brass Monkey  .

Anyone fancy this ? let me know as pre entry is filling up for th Brass monkey (no entry on the day). If the weather is crap on the day I will NOT be riding either event as my bike is alergic to water and grit  .

Let me know as I have space for another person.

Ended up 'racing' the 4h event in the end. Great fun, tough ride though. Ended up doing 5 8 mile laps with aprox 5000 feet of ascent in 3h.47.
Got back within the 4h cut of time so could have gone for a 6th lap but i was knackered :D
Highly recommend these events good value at £20 i think
