Hmm, that's annoying. Yes posted on time, although I was relying on the postroom here to function, given the quality of staff it's possible they just folded it into a paper plane and threw it out of the window. Bother.

Carl the G50/53 desn't go to Steyning. The 53 course is basically 2 laps of the Horsham 25 course, with a bit extra by the HQ after lap 1 but then no second trip up to Tollgate. It isn't slow and can be quick, certainly the fastest 50 in our district.

P885/50 in Liss is lovely but a rare beast, one event last year, none this year but keep an eye out in future for this one.

H50/8 Bentley course is like the G50/53 in that it can be quick, faster than the G on a good day as it's flatter with just a couple of little drags. However it does tend to be a victim of the wind running up and down the course so you fly one way and die the other - in the National 50 last year I was doing the 10 mile legs in nearly 30 mins one way and 22 the other! That was by far the worst it's been when I've been there though.

If it fits in then I'd go for the Charlotteville 50 in May and you can judge the course as there are a couple fo other 50s on it later in the year. I think there's only one 50 on the G50/53 this year (PVTs SCCU promotion) as the Anerley aren't running there one.

E2/50 is a bit further afield but renowned as quicker than the above. Not ridden yet but will this year as I haven't liked the road when I was on it in the 12hr previously so want to acclimatise myself to it more.

Thanks must get down to see Jon to pick my book up so i can take a look at the courses!. Think i did a 25 on the Bentley course last year,might have been where i pb'd and i think you rode that too andrew?. Also rode another down that way which got stopped due to an accident. The 50 i rode which went to steyning way was an sccu event

That 25 was Bentley Carl, the 50 uses an extended loop and the extended bit is tougher than the 25 section. 25 course there is very nice.

Sure it wasn't a Sussex CA 50, you'd have been off course by quite a way if it was the SCCU.
