Surrey League "4 UP Team Time Trial" - Saturday 8th Septemb

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Hi All,

Please find attached the poster and details for this years Surrey League "4 Up Team Time Trail" championship which is on Saturday the 8th September at 1.30pm.

It's an exhilarating and spectacular event and great fun to be part of. You can make a single or multiple team entries in any category or across all the categories. The teams can be Mens, Womens, Mixed, Vets, Juniors, Under 23, etc.

It's 34 miles over 2 laps of the combined Alfold/Kirdford Circuits and the HQ is at Alfold Village Hall. You can get the full entry details on the link below or from the attached poster.

http://www.riderhq.com/events/surreylea ... rencourtcc

We would be grateful if you could pass the information on to your club members and any cycling enthusiasts you know and encourage them to ride.

If you could also put the details on your club website and include it in your newsletter it would be greatly appreciated.

The Clarencourt have promoted this fantastic event since 1979 and thank you all in advance for your valued support.

Kind regards,

Billy

TTTs are good fun Naomi and well worth doing.

A few things you need to be aware of on this one:
It's based on road race circuits so it is very definately a sporting TTT.
It's run by Surrey League under British Cycling regs and not CTT regs. This means that in addition to the entry fee if you don't have a race licence you have to pay an extra £10 for a day licence (that's each for everyone without a race licence). If you all have race licences not an issue but it does make it more pricey for a TT if you haven't. Also I don't know what the score is with priority of entry, it may be given to Surrey League registered riders so you may not get in if you aren't.

Not deal breakers but might be worth dropping a line to the organiser beforehand.

I like TTTs - would've been interesting to see how a 3 man, 1 woman team would've done, especially as I was going so well at the time - probably left for dead  Ian, you must have been scraping the barrel to have asked me

Shame, apart from not being fit enough, I'm away that weekend.

I enjoyed it when I stopped. Would definitely try it again though - without the cracked rib next time.

I propose an A team for this event.

Carl F
Mohammed L
Rich B
Myself

This is a real good honest course that's not too lumpy and you can get a good rhythm going in the team all working together.

The Addiscombe B team consisting of Galeb, Iilya, John G on grounds unbecoming to cycle sport have been banned from this event  naughty naughty
