Nice one Jon, am I correct in thinking this is on G10/42 course?

Holmwood Mark. Nice to see such a big field, shame I'm on taxi duty in the morning.

Thanks from me and Tom too. Great event, big field, good atmosphere.

We might need to introduce a rule though that you have to have ridden more than 1 TT to win. To be fair to Tom, after having done 1 TT then a bunch of racing and other stuff, I expected him to be a couple of minutes faster. I didn't expect him to be over 5 minutes faster. I need to up my game now.

And the cake has been much appreciated by all in the house.

A suggestion for next year - we could all adjourn to a nearby cafe to await the "stewards' enquiry", rather than hanging around in the car park? Having raced, coffee and cake would seem to be in order.

Thanks to the organisers for giving up their Saturday morning and putting this on :)

Apologies for not staying at the end. I hadn't realised there was an awards bit after the race. At the other TT I came to in July, we just went home on the evening, straight after the finish (but in retrospect it was probably because it was dark and about to start raining again). Rookie error, sorry!

Once again thanks to all those who helped out and well done to the winners!!

Cheers,
Ant

Interesting. Could work.

One simple thing we could do is limit the handicap to a maximum of 10'.

We need to discuss at next committee.

and come back to do the podium presentations or do them at the cafe? Where do you suggest?

or were you thinking of ditching the podium presentations?

My original idea was to find a local friendly hostelry and do the presentations there.

We also need to find a way of speeding up the calculation of results. 40+ riders is a lot more than the dozen or so we used to get.

I have stopped on a ride at the Royal Oak (out the carpark, right, down the hill, left and it's near the Punchbowl Lane turning). They didn't seem totally averse to lycra perverts turning up. Might be worth giving them a ring and seeing if they're up for it.

Re handicaps, that is the standard way handicapping works. Everyone gets a chance to pick up a prize in their second race, in opens you can do a sporting course and then enter an event that gives a handicap prize to win some money. You can only do it once though :D . Don't pick on your lad Phil  , he won fair and square.

Re results Jon, I use a spreadsheet for results that I wrote for the 25. I will create a copy and simplify it for the club 10s once I've got the handicap and peoples PBs from Jon H. If I make sure that I charge the laptop then I'll bring it to the club TTs and Tim et al just need to give me the finish time and the sheet can do the calcs. It also deals with vets standards.
