You'll get a start at the North Rd no trouble Keith, sub hour 25 will get in you in just about any event bar the National or the top drag strips in summer.

I'd like to have done the 24 again, better course this year and I'd like to have targeted 400+ miles, but I'd want to set my season around it really to do my best and after a couple of messy disjointed seasons want a normal one.

What's F1/100 like? Apart from quite a long way away.

Phil,

Get in on a good day and it is fast. It is dual carriageway (A1 mainly) all the way now (unlike the old course). Only done the new one, once, and it was windy, which was fine for 75% of it as it was a side wind but when you turn onto the last dog leg it was straight into the a head wind. It's the same roads as the 50 if you have done that!! You pass the HQ a few times which can be very tempting!!

Getting there isn't too bad as it is always at silly o'clock in the morning, bit of a drag coming back if you catch is at a bad time, especially the last bit on the M25.

Only ridden F1/25 but all F1 courses are based on up and down a stretch of the A1 just north of the A1(M). Can be fast but prone to cross winds which are a pig, as I found out. Travelodge at Black Cat RAB for pre race stay convenience but gather lights may be going in at the Black Cat too which could scupper courses.

Oh and there's a sex shop on the course.
