Club Evening 10 - 3rd June 2014

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Is it too late to add a beginner :?:

Ok Matt, I've inserted you towards the top of the field. Is your surname Radford? I'll be circulating full info by email

Yes, Radford.

Not really close to the start please, because I have a 46km ride with 2:15 in which to do it in to get there on time. Naturally though, won't be that fast 1. because I’m not and 2. because I'll have done a bit prior, so not too late either don't want to get in the way of the Pros.

Where exactly will everyone be congregating?

Thank you.

Good job I was out as I ended up acting as spotter - only a couple of riders shouted out their number as they finished. As for the banana bread - the gannets fell on it. I have never seen anyone do a 45 degree turn midstride before, Rich. And as for your skanky cap stuffed in the top of my rucksack... It's going in the wash! Though for some reason the cat thought it interesting and gave the top of bag a good sniffing...

Anyway, glad peeps enjoyed the banana bread - just don't expect me to bring one out every time!

Thanks for organising Tim and thanks for officiating Phil and Amy. Was fun in a masochistic sort of way.

P.s. Amy, I couldn't pedal across the finish line because had run out of spin on my gear (plus legs were dead  )

I saw you were on single free Matt, what gear? Looked a suitably small one for everyday riding but for the TT you must have been spinning like a whirling dervish :) .

Yes mate, changed it at the weekend from 48-18 (normal weekday gear) to 48-16 not specifically for the TT although made the bike rideable at least but because supplier sent me a warranty replacement that was the wrong size. So ran 48-16 which has been waaaaaay to big all week and for getting to the start but yeah was spinning my nuts off on occasions.

I'll have to find a unicycle for next time, just to find some more inappropreate cycles, but is more useful for everything else. Is there a handycap for how much your bike cost :?:

Yeah was fun thanks Ashley.
