InterClub Evening 10 - 24th June 2014

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Hi Jo,
It'd be great if you rode. It is a different course to the last one you did:
This is a 7.30pm start from the end of Waterhouse Lane on the A25, East of Bletchingley, through the village over the M25, left down Cooper’s Hill Road/Prince of Wales Road/Rookery Hill to the junction with Chapel Rd where you turn left and return up Norman’s Road/Scott’s Hill/Outwood Lane/Browns Hill/Outwood Lane. 10.7 miles.
I’ll send start times later today.

What the heck has happened to the 20+ riders that have been doing the club TT series this year?

There's more to TTing than dual carriageways.

Put me on the list please Tim.

Sorry Martin, I accidentally overwrote you! Don't worry you're back on the list! You can do two laps if you want!

Happy to ride Tim, but will probably be the comedy entrant! I haven't been able to do much for the last 3 weeks. If the marshalls are happy to 'camp out' overnight, I'll ride :-)

Hi Jo

Many thanks for the offer! we need a minimum of six to ride for the team - which we have. So up to you. The more the merrier but you decide - ride, marshall, support and drink beer at the Whyte Hart!!!

[quote="Keith"]If Holmwood feels like a breeze, you're really not trying hard enough.

IMO don't let people scare you off lumpy courses. Ride at the maximum level you can sustain for the duration of the course, whether it's flat, windy, or hilly. (Yes, I appreciate there's pacing strategies, but that's fine tuning.)

Quite right Keith. It doesn't matter what the course pacing comes with experience of racing and the courses you race. Only one way to get that and it ain't thinking about it.

Seems there a fear of the bletchingly course!!?? I agree with keith and Andrew. Can't make tomorrow but there's plenty of capable riders sitting this one out. Dave L needs to be riding not pushing off for a start, come on Addiscombe : )) I quess I now need to ride next week, Andrew you too??
Still remember beating Norwood P that year with Jon H and co...: )))

Another great ACC evening! Special thanks to everyone who officiated, marshalled and helped make this happen. Big thanks to everyone who turned up and took part - it's not about the winning. We lost the TT by nearly 10 minutes - an improvement on last year, so getting better! More ACC down the pub than Redhill so a moral victory of sorts! Good fun! Bring on the Paragon!
