Surrey League "4 Up Team Time Trial" Saturday the 6th Septe

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Surrey League "4 Up Team Time Trial" Saturday the 6th September at 1.30pm.

LOOKING FOR 3 OTHERS VETS.

I missed this last year because I couldn't enter as a non BC member and was thus too late so need someone to do the entries as well as 3 others

It's an exhilarating and spectacular event and great fun to be part of. You can make a single or multiple team entries in any category or across all the categories. The teams can be Mens, Womens, Mixed, Vets, Juniors, Under 23, etc.

It's 34 miles over 2 laps of the combined Alfold/Kirdford Circuits and the HQ is at Alfold Village Hall. You can get the full entry details on the attached poster.

OK, we need one other then and need to enter reasonably sharply because it fills up - any suggestions, maybe Mark Mclaughlin?

Hi Alan. Don't know if Paul got back to you, he may be busy crying in a corner ahead of the 24hr :) .

I'm not a BC member or have a race licence anymore so can't do this, I think from memory it gets a bit pricey for one race once you have to start playing about with day licences and membership.

OK guys looks like me Paul T, Dominick and Andrew G - maybe we can find some reserves

In the process of signing in on line the website seems to recognise me but I am not a BC member and don't have a number but I think I just pay £5 more and have LVRC membership for insurance

It seems needs the following for each rider - please supply asap as it is filling up

Rider 2 British Cycling Category

Rider 2 Name

Rider 2 BC Membership Number

Rider 2 Emergency contact name

Rider 2 Emergency contact phone

Rider 2 Age Category

Am happy to pay up and be reimbursed later, look forward to hearing from you, Alan

OK guys we're in, Paul, Dominic, Andrew and me - Gulp, I'm now worried that I'm outclassed among you pro testers! Also that we probably need a training session and course familiarisation - Any thoughts?
The race is full now with 30 teams and only other ACCer is Robyn Yates playing away for VCL with Geraldine.
The cost was as follows and they charged me for a membership as follows - wasn't sure if our affiliation would mean I wouldn't need it - Views PT?
Entry: Surrey League 4-Up TTT Championships (Clarencourt CC) E/1/2/3/4 TTT £65.00
Membership of: Surrey League Member of Surrey League £20.00
Transaction fee £5.95
TOTAL £90.95
So basically £70/4 = £17.50
cheers

Thanks Alan. Agree a bit of practice would be useful, Paul's location and Dominic's job are probably the hardest things to coordinate.

If we want to fit something in, I am off work the last week of August. Apart from the possible day trips, nothing planned yet, will be available. Just let me know.

Weather permitting I could get over there the Tuesday or Thursday - I think I have an invitation to go round with the ACC ladys' team on the bank holiday Monday but don't yet have the timings on that - would be happy to ride out with you Dominic and cruise round on either of those days - I suspect the others will be working
