Hi Ben, can you put me down for the "all shapes & sizes" race please.

And for any novices even reading this thread, you're already showing enough interest that you should just enter. Whether you're a budding would be racer, or like me, never going to be a racer in a million years but fancy having a go, you'll never get a better or more friendly opportunity to give it a try. Great fun last time - even after getting dropped by the main group. Just do it & enjoy!

We had 29 Riders take part today. With 19 riders in the B race and 10 in the A race. The rain held off but the course is exposed, making it hard work for the riders, when fighting into a head wind.
Well done to Rich Buerckner for winning the A race and Anthony McCoy the B race.
Thanks go to Ashley for helping out with the B race and Joyce for making the trip to present the trophies.
Current plan is to do another race March/April time, so helping spread the word, to other club members will be appreciated.

Both races were very competitive.
The A race eventually came down to two groups. Rich and Jonathan going for the win. Ashley, Toks, Rogan and George going for 3rd place. Results Beneath. Apologies for any spelling.

B race was handicapped into three groups. The eventually winner, Ant coming from the final the group. Mentions go to Jon and Karen for leading the early part of the race. Then Colin, who led for several solo laps before being caught, in the closing stages. Though I'm sure those that took part have their own stories to tell.
