Thanks to Benny for organising and to everyone who played a role in yesterday's events. It was another good day and hopefully we can keep encouraging more members to take part in the racing.

First off big thanks to Ben. It was nice for me to finally take part in the a club race after watching and organising quite a few of them. The A race was almost a club run affair for most of the first half. On the side lines there even a few shouts of "we wanna see a race" lol. After a couple more fairly sedate laps I coaxed George into literally stepping outside of the comfort zone and we both redlined it for a lap and a half before settling into threshold tempo. We were soon blessed with thirty second+ gap for our efforts.

A few laps later George eased back a touch saving something for later no doubt and and we sat up and waited for the inevitable catch since it was still quite early on in the race. The ACC bunch engines finally revved into action and soon normal service was resumed and we back on a 19 mph club run. A lap later however the pace increased and Rich, Jonathan and Ashley exploded off the front. The chase to catch them was on. But then it wasn't. They'd gone! A few laps later Ashley was dropped and joined myself and George in a 3 man chasing group. Rich and Jonathan to their credit continued to ride impressively and their gap was soon up to a minute with less than 15 minutes to go. With Rogan now making our chase group a foursome, the battle for the final poduim spot was on. It was won by Ashley - he reeled me in some 15 metres for the line on the last lap. Great fun well done everyone

Nice one, sorry I couldn't make it, was away last weekend, sounds like you are back in the mix Toks, good to hear.
