London Cyclo-Cross Team Championships 1st Feb 2015

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

London Cyclo-Cross Team Championships 1st Feb 2015

Cyclo-Cross Winter Season Finale - LCCA Team Championships,
Sunday 1st Feb, Great Walstead School, Lindfield.

Who's up for this?

As far as I can tell, Seniors, Juniors, Vets and Woman are all part of the same race, and teams of 3 or 4 riders can be made up of any combination.

Six to eight riders and we can get two teams out! Unless Rich is assembling a crack team of crossers as I type, realistically though we're not going to be challenging the podium, so a thought would be to balance the two teams out so we can at least have an inter-club battle for cyclo-cross bragging rights.

Any of the (ir)regular crossers up for this - or any newbie crossers/MTB'ers?

Rich/Nic/George/Leslie/Mark/Steve - do you plan on riding? Thoughts on teams if we have enough?

Myself and Paul W are both planning to ride if we have enough for a team.

Ta, Simon

And don't forget, final round of the CX league this weekend

I am up for doing this. I have never done it before and would be doing it on a HT MTB. Happy to make up the numbers and wear an Addiscombe top, or not as the case may be!
My main focus will be on an earlier race as my 10 year old daughter has expressed an interest in taking part. This will also be her first time doing any sort of race outside of school. Mum will spectate, support, look after kit etc if it is not too cold. I have had to promise a warm and cosy lunch afterwards in a local pub. My mobile no is 07711 815792.

Thanks George, appreciate it.
Unfortunately we've missed the boat on this as team entries closed 6pm last night. We had kind of given up on this with the lack of response, so not sure who from ACC is going if anyone. Individual entries are taken on the day though, so give it a bash (don't forget your BC membership if you have it). Whilst most ride cross bikes, there are a few MTB's out there, including a couple of the leading riders, so don't worry about that.

Good luck to your daughter! Great that she's giving it a go, shame it's already the last race of the season,. There are some junior Ride-It cross events on the British Cycling website though if you haven't seen them.

Have fun, and look out for the summer series when it starts.
